Unless you’re a Liverpool or Fulham fan whose trip to your club’s Europa League semi-final, first-leg away trips in, respectively, Atletico Madrid and Hamburg, was disrupted by the ash cloud spewing forth from the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajokull, this post is totally football unrelated. If you’ve got a half-hour to spare take a look at these awesome pics and videos (play at full volume) of the eruption taken by the slightly crazed Martin Rietze, famed for picturing volcanos around the world…

  2. Thanks to the ash cloud I managed to get to an extra 3 games in Ukraine, as I couldn’t get back to Britain. It made a nice change from the type of Eastern Counties League games that are on the site here that I usually go to.
